Metrohm launches a new NIR spectrometer on the OMNIS platform.
With OMNIS NIRS, Metrohm’s universal chemical analysis platform becomes even more powerful: in addition to all titration variants, infrared spectroscopy with all its advantages (fast, easy to use, non-destructive, chemical-free) is now also available in OMNIS. OMNIS NIRS comes in three versions: OMNIS NIRS Liquid for liquid samples, OMNIS NIRS Solid for solid and viscous matrices, and OMNIS NIRS Liquid/Solid, which allows users to measure both liquid and solid samples on the same device.
Faster – multiparameter analysis for results in seconds.
With the OMNIS NIR analyzer, measuring liquid and solid samples takes less than 10 seconds. Thanks to the state-of-the-art sensor technology, liquid samples are quickly and precisely adjusted to any desired temperature between 25 and 80 °C, and sample insertion is detected for rapid analysis of large batches without the need for software interaction. Solid materials are measured in an automated rotation mode, ensuring maximum result reproducibility even for highly heterogeneous samples.
Easier – OMNIS NIRS brings near-infrared spectroscopy to everyone.
With OMNIS, prior knowledge of chemometrics is not required. The OMNIS Model Developer (OMD) automatically defines prediction model parameters, making NIR spectroscopy integration simple. OMNIS NIR analyzers recognize sample holders, ensuring the correct sample containers are used according to defined SOPs. This feature, along with the clear user guidance provided by the OMNIS software, reduces the risk of user errors to practically zero.
