Durridge
RAD7 + Components & Addons

RAD 7
The RAD7 is the easiest electronic radon detector to use, with preprogrammed setups for common tasks. The instrument comes complete with a built-in air pump, rechargeable batteries, and a detachable wireless printer. The RAD7 can store large amounts of radon data for later printing and/or for graphing and analysis on a computer using DURRIDGE’s powerful and free CAPTURE software.
Precision and Performance
Fastest response and recovery times of any electronic monitor/sniffer on the market.
Measures EPA action level of 4 pCi/L in under two hours.
Recovers from radon highs in minutes – not hours.
Spectrum printout verifies correct operation of instrument in field.
Security and Flexibility
Tamper-proof key-lock command secures your RAD7 and assures uninterrupted testing.
Easily portable: The RAD7 weighs 9.6 pounds (4.35 kg).
Displays, prints, and downloads radon data in your choice of units.
Immunity to build-up of 210pb.

CAPTURE Software
for Macintosh and Windows provides the ability to download radon data files from the RAD7 and issue commands to the instrument for performing various common tasks. A chart recorder renders sophisticated real-time graphs of radon and thoron data from single or multiple RAD7s. Included with CAPTURE is a complete user’s manual and several sample RAD7 data files. CAPTURE contains built-in support for the English and Chinese languages. Additional machine-generated language resources are available upon request.

RAD H2O
Radon In Water Accessory for the RAD7
The RAD H2O is an accessory for the RAD7 that enables you to measure radon in water over a concentration range of from less than 10 pCi/L to greater than 400,000 pCi/L. By diluting your sample, or by waiting for sample decay, you can extend the upper range to any concentration.
- Portable: Complete kit provided in fitted case; weighs just 13 lbs.
- Automatic: Procedure is controlled fully by the connected RAD7. Printouts provide data on radon concentration in water.
- Fast: Analysis can be completed within one hour of taking the water sample.
- Accurate: The RAD H2O provides results as accurate as liquid scintillation.
- Sensitive: More sensitive than liquid scintillation. Lowest limit of detection is 10 pCi/L (20 minute count).
- Clean and Safe: Involves no hazardous materials or chemicals.
- Proven: Used by individuals and labs throughout the world for over ten years.
- Great Value: Practically no running costs.

RAD AQUA
Continuous Radon in Water Accessory for RAD7
The RAD AQUA is an accessory for the DURRIDGE RAD7 scientific radon detector that enables the continuous monitoring of radon in water such as groundwater, lakes, rivers, and other aquifers. It is used to bring the radon concentration in a closed air loop into equilibrium with the radon concentration in a flow-through water supply. The RAD AQUA consists of a spray chamber, called an “exchanger”, that brings the air and water into equilibrium. The radon in the air is monitored continuously by the RAD7.

DRYSTIK
Active Moisture Exchanger to reduce
the humidity of the air entering the RAD 7
The RAD7 radon monitor works most effectively when the incoming air sample has a low relative humidity. The DURRIDGE DRYSTIK Model ADS-3 transfers moisture from the incoming air to the air being pumped out of the RAD7. As the air enters a drying unit (not included) on its way to the RAD7, it will have already lost most of its moisture, greatly extending the life of the desiccant in the drying unit. In certain cases the need for desiccant is eliminated altogether.

SOIL GAS PROBES
In-Ground Radon Detection
When measuring radon underground, it is essential to collect samples without exposing them to the outside air. We offer two heavy-duty soil probes for this purpose: the Hardened Steel Soil Gas Probe, and the AMS Stainless Steel Soil Gas Probe.

NATURAL ROCK SAMPLE
Monitor RAD7 performance once each month
The Natural Rock Sample system consists of a 21oz (600g) sample of granite gravel from a stone quarry, normally sold by the truckload as construction material. It is enclosed in a container that, by closing two ball valves, may be completely sealed.
